Hi there

I'm trying to use BbLD sidebar with BuddyPress to show the most recent forum posts in my groups.

However the sidebar widget links take users to the bbpress forum pages rather than the Buddypress forum pages.

Is there any way to enable the sidebar to be BuddyPress compatible?

My bbpress/BbLD links are like this:

forums/topic/topic-title-words

but BuddyPress links are like this:

groups/forum-title-words/forum/topic/topicnumber

Is it possible to add the forum name to the BbLD url link and then perhaps use a .htaccess rewrite? Or any other solution?

thanks a lot for the plugin and for any advice

Hey Atsutane,

I've been using your plugin for almost a year now and love it. I've been keeping it up to date and uploading your latest version as soon as new ones came out.

For some reason when I uploading version 1.7 on Saturday NONE of my sites worked with it. One of them totally crashes to the point where I had to delete the plugin to even use the Wordpress administration page!

Never had an issue like this before with your plugin.

1) My WPMU plugin refused to display the widget on ALL my WPMU sites.
2) On my regular Wordpress installation, everything, (including the Wordpress Admin) totally crashed (your plugin triggered some sort of fatal error with the Genki Announcement plugin (http://ericulous.com/2007/03/09/genki_announcement/)

"Fatal error: Cannot redeclare widget_genkiannouncement() (previously declared in /var/www/grassrootspa.com/blog/wp-content/plugins/genki-announcement/genki_announcement.php:269) in /var/www/grassrootspa.com/blog/wp-content/plugins/genki-announcement/genki_announcement.php on line 269"

Not sure if this helps but 100% sure 1.7 triggered this (the older versions all worked fine) Any idea what's going on? Want to be able to use your plugin again.

Feel free to email me if you need additional info...

I'm using wordpress 2.8.4, and BBPress 1.02.

My bbpress is at location http://lighthousewrestling.com/lhw/forum

BBPress is installed in my wordpress database.

On the BBLD options page it seems to be configured correctly. It displays all the forums listed in my installation correctly.

When I visit the site i get the error, "it seems there is something wrong with the bbld configuration, please check it." where the widget should display the latest posts. I can't seem to identify anything that is configured incorrectly as it all appears correct.

Do you have any recommendations for narrowing down the problem?

Hi!

I'm using Buddypress and your plugin/widget. It works great except that forums that have namnes like Yrkesfrågor doesn't work with the plugin. When clicking at the widget at a post which lays in such a forum (or with åäö characters in the forum post) I get sent to the default blog page instead of the forum post.

Is it possible to fix? Is there a fix already? (I'll search the forums some more.)

Thanks!

starting at line 140 of bbPress.php the Group slugs are hardcoded as follows...

elseif ($bbld_option['slug'] == 'buddypress') {
$bp_group = str_replace("-forum", "", $forumslug);
$bp_group = str_replace("amp-", "", $bp_group);
$bp_group = str_replace("-amp", "", $bp_group);
}

I'm running the latest wordpress-mu, bbpress and buddypress. About once or twice a day I get the "It seems there is something wrong with bbld configuration, please check it." When I go to the settings for bbld, the path to the blog ends in /bbPress, but it should be /forums. I reset it to /forums (and also check the box to say that I'm sharing user data) and things work fine for a while. After a few hours, the same thing happens.

One other thing. In the wp_1_options table (i.e. the mu version of wp_options for blog 1) there are four identical entries for option_name==bbld_option.

Any idea what might be causing this? Also, can I just delete three of the four entried for bbld_option?

Thanks.
